Road Closures, Parking and Shuttles

Course roads will begin closing at 6:30 AM on Saturday. To avoid being re-routed from your normal/easiest route, participants and volunteers utilizing parking around the start line (including Station Square) and the finish line, should try to be parked before 6:30 AM. You will still be able to access parking after that but may experience detours or delays. Click here for the road closure map.

We suggest parking in Station Square near the start line. See the details below for available lots and pricing. Please note, large amounts of runners and spectators will be exiting Station Square at the same time. Please be patient and anticipate slight delays.
  • Station Square garage — $5
  • Station Square East lot — $5
  • Station Square surface lots (behind garage) — $5 (CASH ONLY)
As an alternative, you may also consider parking downtown and taking the T to Station Square (a fare applies). Visit the downtown Pittsburgh real-time parking map and T-Schedule.

Relay Shuttles

There will be two buses making only one trip to the relay exchange area. They will begin loading at 7:15 AM in front of the Hard Rock Cafe and will depart at 7:30 AM, dropping off runners at 6th St. and Fort Duquesne Blvd., a short walk across the Sixth Street Bridge up to the exchange zone. If you miss the shuttle, you will be responsible for getting to the exchange point on your own. We suggest using the T.

There will not be a shuttle from the exchange point to the finish line area. If you need to get from the relay exchange area to the finish line, we suggest walking or taking the T. All participants also have the option of parking downtown to be closer to the finish line at the end of the race.

Post-Race Shuttles

Station Square
A free shuttle service will be provided for all runners, spectators and volunteers back to Station Square following the race. Shuttles will pick up on Stanwix St. and Forbes Ave. and drop off in Station Square. Shuttles will run from 9 AM – 11 AM. Runners who miss the last shuttle can take the T to Station Square (there is a fare) or can walk approximately 15 minutes, crossing the Smithfield Street Bridge.

Strip District
Free shuttles to the Strip District will be available after the race! Celebrate your race at Wigle’s Distillery in the Strip District from 9 AM – 1 PM. EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler runners (ages 21+ with a valid ID) with a race bib will receive a special bourbon-spiked Turner’s Iced Tea — make sure you RSVP to their event to get in! Shuttles will run from the intersection of Stanwix St. and Forbes Ave. to the intersection of 21st St. and Smallman St. from 9 AM to 2 PM. The last shuttle will leave the Strip District at 2 PM!
