PITTSBURGH  – Runners across the region will have one more reason to celebrate Global Running Day this year: registration for the 2025 EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler & 10K opens on Wednesday, June 4. Scheduled for Sunday, November 9, this signature fall race is expected to welcome more than 5,000 participants from Pittsburgh and across the U.S.

“The EQT Foundation is proud to support an event that encourages health, movement, and community connection,” said Ellen Rossi, President of the EQT Foundation. “The EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler & 10K showcases the best of Pittsburgh—from its people to its neighborhoods—and we’re honored to be part of a race that brings so many together in such a powerful way.”

Known for its scenic routes and vibrant energy, the 10-mile course begins near Station Square, offering sweeping views of Pittsburgh’s iconic skyline and rivers as runners wind through four distinct neighborhoods. The 10K course starts on the North Shore near PNC Park and shares the same exciting Downtown Pittsburgh finish line on Liberty Avenue. Returning in 2025 is the 10K Walking Division, welcoming participants of all paces to join in one of the city's most spirited celebrations of movement.

“There’s no better way to celebrate Global Running Day than by opening registration for one of our most inspiring races of the year,” said Troy Schooley, P3R CEO. “Whether you’re chasing a personal best or walking your first 10K, the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler & 10K delivers an unforgettable experience. With scenic views, lively cheer zones, and a high-energy finish in Downtown Pittsburgh, every runner and walker will feel encouraged, celebrated, and motivated to keep moving.”
